What we do not collect

You do not sign up, log in or give us your name, email or phone number. We do not use advertising cookies or social media pixels, and we do not sell or share personal information.

Visitor statistics

We use Statcounter to count visits and see which pages are popular. It records things like the pages you view, your browser and device type, the site that referred you, your approximate location and a partly hidden IP address, and it may set a cookie to tell new visitors from returning ones. We use these numbers only to improve the site. We do not use them for advertising or to identify you.

What is stored in your browser

To remember your progress, the site saves a few items in your browser's local storage. They are stored on your device only and are never sent to us.

• Lesson stars, game scores and best results.
• Practice test results.
• Your settings, such as whether sound is on or off.

To erase all of it, clear this site's data in your browser settings. That resets your progress.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider may briefly record standard technical details when a page loads, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you requested. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.

Children and teens

Many visitors are teens preparing for a learner's permit. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, children of any age can use the site without sharing data with us. Parents can see the guide for parents.

Links to other sites

We link to official DMV handbooks and government sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
